Planning Your Future under the NDIS

Amaze will be helping people plan for their future under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We are proud to be working with a number of other disability organisations across Australia on this project, which is funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
NDIS Planning – Easy English Version of this information
The NDIA have asked an organisation called JFA Purple Orange to collect information from the disability community. They will be asking people with a disability and their families and supporters what things are important to know or do when they are planning for their future, such as what supports they might need.
JFA Purple Orange will be conducting consultations and they would like to hear from:

  • people in the NDIS trial sites who have been through the planning process with an NDIA Planner,
  • people who don’t yet have access to the NDIS, to find out what you think would be helpful before you start your planning with the NDIA.

You don’t need to know much about the NDIS to be involved, and it is really important that as many people as possible give their opinions.
You can do this in any of these ways:

  • complete a survey online
  • attend a face-to-face consultation if there’s one near you, or
  • have a discussion with groups that you’re already involved in (such as support groups) and submit your thoughts to Purple Orange.

You can find more information by contacting JFA Purple Orange on 1300 857 327 or [email protected]. You can also view more details here: NDIS Planning Consultation Questions
The consultation closes Friday 5 June 2015.
