The past fortnight has seen the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) a topic of much national debate.
As autistic participants are the largest diagnostic group within the scheme, it is vital that the NDIS is fully rolled out and sustainable into the long term – to support autistic Australians across their lifetime.
Amaze sees its role as a conduit to the NDIS where we consolidate the views and needs of autistic people and their families to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Today we launch an important survey that will give us invaluable feedback about our community’s experience of the NDIS.
If you are an NDIS participant, or are currently going through the planning process, we urge you to take five minutes to participate in the short survey and offer your thoughts on the NDIS.
Is it meeting your expectations; do you have any concerns about the scheme meeting your goals and needs; is there anything about your NDIS experience that you would change?
These are some of the issues we want to explore and we will use your responses to inform Amaze’s ongoing advocacy, to ensure the NDIS is delivering for people on the autism spectrum, their families and supporters.
I thank you in advance for taking part in our survey.
