Evidence suggests there is a lot of confusion among National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and carers when preparing for their planning meeting with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
It’s a reason Amaze is proud to launch its NDIS Readiness Resource, which gives participants a chance to work through a checklist, identify and prioritise needs, and create smart goals they then take to their planning meeting with the NDIA.
The resource provides case studies (child, teen, adult) and shows how goals are set.
The resource has been created by the Amaze team, who have been running NDIS workshops in rollout areas, and was funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and developed in conjunction with NDIS participants.
Amaze responded to the needs of its community in developing the resource. This ensured the resource would be relevant, user-friendly, and meet people’s needs.
Amaze would like to thank members of disability support groups who assisted in the development of the resource and provided valuable feedback that helped us improve the online tool.
Who is it for?
This online resource is for autistic people who are participants of the NDIS or who may be eligible to be a participant. It can also be used by carers on behalf of participants. It may also be useful for people with cognitive disabilities and their carers.
How can I access the online resource?
Click here to go to the NDIS Readiness Resource page. On the landing page, enter your details, and the code NDIS to begin. The resource takes around 40 minutes to complete and your information is saved as you go.
