Career Opportunity: Community Partnerships & Capacity Building Manager
For 50 years, Amaze has provided information and resources to autistic people and their families, the broader autism sector (service providers, researchers, autism organisations) and the wider community. Today Amaze supports more than 6,000 Victorians every year as well as advocates to government to influence positive change and builds the skills of the community to create a better world for autistic people and their families.
The Community Partnership and Capacity Building program supports the strategic goals to build greater understanding of autism and creating autism friendly environments in public, private and community organisations through resource development, training courses and consultancy.
The key responsibilities of this role are to generate revenues through the development and delivery of a range of fee for service, face to face and e-learning adult learning and professional development programs, forums and workshops and a range of resources for a variety of audiences including autistic people and their families, educators and service providers. The role also oversees the fundraising program with support of the CEO and an external fundraising agency.
The successful candidate will have minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role and a proven track record in business development and sales in adult learning, forming partnerships as co-designers of training and resources and securing funding for events and resources from government, community and philanthropic sources.
In addition to high level business development capability, experience in people management of a highly skilled and diverse team plus experience in writing proposals, management reports, developing project plans, budgeting and forecasting, making presentations to senior executives (board and clients) will be required.
