Following the success of this event in 2017, Amaze & SPELD Victoria have come together to bring you a forum on autism and dyslexia.
This forum is ideal for teachers needing to improve their understanding of autism and dyslexia, and for parents wanting to know more about how autism and dyslexia may impact on their child at school.
The Victorian Government PSD Review found that many students with autism, or SLDs require extra assistance at school.
Many teachers are seeking information and support to better equip them for working with autistic or dyslexic students.
Teachers also need to undergo professional development in teaching learners with special needs to maintain ongoing registration. This workshop seeks to address these needs.
Presented by three outstanding speakers, by attending this forum, you will develop your understanding of:
ï‚· Autism, dyslexia and neurodiversity
ï‚· Cognitive differences and sensory issues
ï‚· The lived experience of learners with autism and dyslexia
ï‚· How to support cognitive difference in the classroom
