NDIA Autism Advisory Group Communique Released

Priorities for NDIS Autism Advisory Group to address outlined

Amaze is a member of the NDIA Autism Advisory Group, convened last year to provide advice to the NDIA on implementing the NDIS for autistic people and their families.

One of the main outcomes of this group to date is that the NDIA has devised an interim funding package of $10,000 for children who have been waiting to access the NDIS for more than 50 days.  This was a recommendation conceived by the Australian Autism Alliance and part of a major federal election policy manifesto and advocacy campaign in the lead up to the 2019 Federal election.

A Communique relating to the work of the Autism Advisory Group going forward has just been released.

This document outlines the priorities for the Advisory Group to address.
