Support for people not eligible for NDIS: $16.5m in 2022-23 ($35.9/2 years) funding includes support for non-permanent residents; a Home and Community Care Program for Younger People; youth justice specialist disability advisers; the Office of the Public Advocate’s guardianship, investigation and support services, and aids and equipment support.
Victorian State Disability Plan: Initial funds of $14.6m in 2022-23 ($15.1/2 years) to deliver elements of the new state plan including disability advocacy services; continuation of Disability Liaison Officers in health services; additional changing places; and Change Your Reactions autism public education campaign.
Kinder Inclusion: $4m in 2022-23 ($16.9m/4 years) for Kindergarten Inclusion Support for children in three- and four-year-old kinder.
Disability support for children with temporary visas: $2.3m 2022-23 ($5.2m/2 years) will support non-permanent residents to access Early Childhood Intervention Services.
Students with disability transport: $30.7m in 2022-23 to support eligible students to attend their designated government specialist education setting.
Special school upgrades – $7.7m in 2022-23 ($326m/4 years) will provide funding to upgrade 36 specialist schools.
Mental health support in specialist schools: $23m for the mental health practitioners in secondary schools initiative in specialist schools.
School re-engagement: $6.7m in 2022-23 ($36.9m/4 years) to enhance the Navigator program to re-engaging students in school. Funding includes a pilot to extend the program to young people aged 10-11 years.
TAFE inclusion: $0.4m in 2022-23 ($0.8m/2 years) to conduct an audit on all TAFE campuses to identify areas across the TAFE network where access to training and skills for people with disability can be improved.
